Due to our inherently curious nature, what intrigues and allures us is often that which we do not understand. Thus, a personal, ever-replenishing source of fascination transpires from complexities of the human body. I am particularly interested in dualities found within our physical and mental framework. My object-based artwork functions to examine aspects of the human condition; growth, change, loss, hope… and the ways in which we react to and cope to the fluctuating dynamics of existence. I believe a greater appreciation and understanding of questions pertaining to life and self-purpose are achieved through experiencing and overcoming inevitable trials and tribulations intrinsically tied to being human. |
